The Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life (CFCFFL - Thailand) had a Spirit-filled Family Day last 12 April 2008 at the Games Room and recreational area of Oakwood City Residence.

The day started with a lively worship led by Bro. Ed Mondigo, in which praise and thanks were given to the Lord for His faithfulness to families and our community. A young couple who came from Phnom Penh prior to being relocated to Bangkok was introduced - - - Bro. Oliver and Sis. Alona San Juan, with their 2 lovely kids, was welcomed by everyone. A sumptuous potluck lunch followed where everyone feasted on such mouth-watering dishes as lechon, adobo, eggplant salad, pasta, Shanghai spring rolls, and mango with sticky rice in coconut milk. This certainly invigorated everyone because what followed was pure fun and energy...

Picture this: Children won successive games of basketball over their dads catching for breath, sisters from HFL sang karaoke like they are on American Idol, and Songkran was celebrated to the full with a dip in the pool. Whew!

The gathering ended by dusk with a closing prayer and a few more songs from a Whitney Houston sound-alike. Who is she??! You probably met her by now if you attended the CFCFFL Regional Joy Conference.

All in all, it can be said that the Lord has truly blessed our Family Day which brought among CFCFFL members pure fraternal bonding, and experience one of the many joys of being a family and a community consecrated to Mary.
